The AMX-30 Roland 2 is an amelioration of the AMX-30 Roland. Just the missile launcher was upgraded; it kept the original chassis of the AMX-30.
History[]
The Roland is a mobile short-range surface to air missile which was developed jointly by France and Germany in 1963 to defend concentration of troops or positions. The Roland was upgraded in 1983 to become the Roland 2.
