The AMX-40 is a French prototype main battle tank that was introduced in Wargame: AirLand Battle.
History[]
The AMX-40 was a upgraded version of the AMX-32 with new systems. It originally was going to be a replacement for AMX-30 series of tanks, and in fact there was planned export sales for foreign countries with smaller defense budgets mainly the Middle-East. However the development of the Leclerc caused all resources be rerouted to the AMX Leclerc project and the AMX-40 project was terminated altogether.
