Soviet Union mounted a Konkurs ATGM on a BRDM-2. The Konkurs ATGMs were built in 1974 and apart from being distributed to infantry units, they were fitted onto the top of the recon vehicles and were fitted with gas generators and wires to push the missile out of the launcher which was made of fiberglass container and designated as the 9P148. 4,000 of these units were produced. These modified BRDM-2s would enter service by 1977.
