The BTR-90 is a prototype Soviet Infantry FIghting Vehicle that appears in Wargame: Red Dragon.
History[]
BTR-90 built from the extended chassis of BTR-80 and armed with the turret of BMP-2. Development started in 1993 with first public showing in 1994.
Overview[]
The BTR-90 fields a powerful grenade launcher coupled with an autocannon capable of destroying light vehicles. It can be paired with Spetnaz, albeit at a high cost, for a incredibly powerful combo. A single BTR-90 can easily destroy any infantry squad in the open as long distance is maintained. On top of that, the road, off-road and amphibious speed of BTR-90 are all good enough.
