'Buccaneer S.Mk.50 is a South African Ground Attack Aircraft that first appears in South African DLC of Wargame: Red Dragon.
History[]
16 aircraft were ordered by the South African Air Force. 20 more were ordered but was blocked due to British Prime Minister Harold Wilson's government due to South African arms embargo. These had Bristol Siddeley BS.605 rocket engines for hot and high South African Airfields along with strengthened undercarriage, and higher capacity wheel brakes, and had manually folded wings. These were equipped with AS-30 command guided air-to-surface missiles.
These were used in the Border War as a ground attack aircraft by 24 Squadron SAAF.
