History[]
In 1969, 106 Centurion were upgraded with British L7 Main Gun.
The Mechanized Brigades had 3 Squadrons of Centurion Tanks in the Tank Battalion and one Squadron in the two Mechanized Infantry Battalions. Tank Battalion in Jutland Division had replaced the Centurion tanks with Leopard 1 by 1980s. While the Zeeland Brigades replaced their Centurion tanks by 1989.

Zealand Battlegroups has a tank squadron.
