Commando Squad are elite infantry units, specially trained and armed with the best infantry weapons to effectively assault buildings and eliminate enemy infantry. They are similar in function to Special Forces recon units, except they lack higher-grade optics.
Some (but by no means all) Commando Squads are weak against hostile armour, as they sometimes can be equipped with weak LAWs (e.g. Delta Force) or no anti-armour weapon at all (e.g. Spetsnaz, Li Jian '90). They also possess generally good optics meaning that they can be used as makeshift reconnaissance units.
