European Escalation[]

Conquest is a gamemode in Wargame: European Escalation and Wargame: AirLand Battle, added by the Conquest DLC and the Vox Populi DLC, respectively.

In this gamemode unlike Destruction, points are not obtained through kills which are ignored. You will have to control Victory Sectors located on the map by sending combat units to capture nuetral zones. When contested they do not change sides. Much like Economy, there is no Scoring System related to the destruction of enemy units. Instead the objective is map control in the form of "Victory Sectors".

The oppenents job is to push your units out of the circles and maintain map control. The player with the most circles controlled by time limit or reaching the set victory limit wins.

For example : the limit can be set for example 20/20 circles for total map control or as little as 12/20. Due to the mechanics, with no time limit and high victory limit the game mode can last extremely long time with stubborn resistance.

AirLand Battle[]

Conquest score table

In-game scoreboard in AirLand Battle's Conquest mode. PACT side has a large and expanding VP lead.

The Conquest game mode in Wargame: AirLand Battle despite wearing the same name as the map control game mode in Wargame: European Escalation, it removes income mechanics with command units and transforms it into victory points. Subsituting the requisition point mechanic to a fixed and static system. The objective is to obtain the required victory points (VPs) through capture of zones being either +1 or +2 VPs.

In ALB's Conquest both opposing sides start with the same amount of Command Points, and receive a constant and equal income of Command Points throughout the game. Zones reward the controlling side with accumulating Victory Points instead of additional Command Points. A game is won when a side reaches the pre-set VP target, or when a side has a VP lead as the maximum time allowed for the game runs out. As in all other game modes, eliminating every enemy command unit on the map instantly wins the game.

Conquest became the default game mode for Ranked play in the Destruction discontinued on October 1, 2013 in ALB.

Compared to the other game modes in ALB, Conquest puts a much bigger emphasis on rapidly establishing control of the dominating terrain features on the battlefield, while force protection is much less important.
