Denmark is a nation affiliated to NATO that initially appeared in Wargame: AirLand Battle.[1]

Denmark, officially the Kingdom of Denmark (Danish: Kongeriget Danmark), is a sovereign state in Northern Europe, with two additional overseas constituent countries also forming integral parts of the kingdom; the Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic and Greenland in North America. Denmark proper is the southernmost of the Nordic countries, located southwest of Sweden, with which it is connected by a bridge, and south of Norway, and bordered to the south by Germany.

Description[]

With a National Guard twice the size of their regular army, Danish forces are built around light task forces. Mainly under threat from Polish airborne and amphibious assault troops, they rely on strong infantry, as well as armored and armed reconnaissance vehicles and many light vehicles and anti-tank helicopters capable of quickly repelling invaders.

In AirLand Battle and Red Dragon, Denmark's Air Force is small, consisting of only four types of combat aircraft. These aircraft, however, provide players with enough varied capabilities to be effectively used in support of ground forces. Area denial is covered by the napalm equipped F-104 Starfighter, precision strike by theF-35 Draken, light strike and aerial support by the F-16A Block 5, and air superiority by the F-16A Block 15. Denmark's Air Force may not be able to stand toe-to-toe with top of the line REDFOR aircraft, but with good tactics and timing, can be a highly effective component of Danish or NATO/BLUFOR decks.
