The Givati (גִיבעָתי) is a Israeli Shock Infantry that appears in Nation Pack: Israel DLC of Wargame: Red Dragon.

History[]

In 1983, 84th "Givati" Brigade was created as a Mechanized Infantry Brigade. This Brigade was intended to serve as the amphibious infantry brigade.

The Galil was the standard weapon of the Israel Defence Force during the mid-1970s to the early 1990s, replacing FAL due to the issues with sand and its size. The Galil was based on the Finnish Valmet Rk 62. Although with the American military aid, M16 and M4 were the most used assault rifles.

Overview[]

Compared to Tzanhanim '95, Givati are better optimized for close-quarters fights against infantry, carrying a better SAW in exchange for a worse rocket launcher. Although the Givati's SAW has a high rate of fire, its performance is severely affected when the squad is shaken or panicked as it is magazine fed. Givati are useful when carried in Hamers for securing towns early in a game or for quickly reinforcing a flank against an infantry rush.
