Gurkhas '90 are a later era Nepalese soldiers in service with the British Armed Forces. They are unique in the British armed forces because they are recruited from outside of the Commonwealth. They first appeared in Wargame: Red Dragon.
History[]
48th Gurkha Brigade was the primary Gurkha formation of the British Army with three Gurkha battalions serving as a light infantry role.
5th Airborne has a Gurkha battalion.
1st Armored Division in wartime was reinforced by Gurkha Demonstration Coy Brecon and Gurkha Demonstration Coy Sandhurst. These were OPFOR units at various British Army training establishment. In wartime these two companies were to be used as NORTHAG Reserve demolition guards on the Leine river.
LAW 80 replaced the LAW 66 and Carl Gustav in the late 1980s. Minimi replaced L86 as the squad automatic weapon in the early 2000s.
