The K9 Thunder is a prototype South Korean self-propelled artillery piece that appears in Wargame: Red Dragon.

In the 1980s due to the Artillery overmatch from North Korean Artillery, South Korea wanted a longer range artillery piece with the development of the K9 starting in 1989 with first deployment with ROKMC.
