The Lù Zhànduì '90 (Chinese: 陆战队, meaning "Marine Crops") is the '90 variant of the Lù Zhànduì that appears in Wargame: Red Dragon.
History[]
China obtained the M72 from the Vietnam and appreciated its concept. In 1966, China conducted research on individual disposable anti-tank rocket launchers, but the results at that time (Type 70) were not very successful.
In 1979, PLA resumed the research due to the tense relationship with the Soviet Union. The PF89 was the first successful model. It was approved for development in 1984, finalized design in 1989, and equipped in the following year under the designation of PF89-80-1.
The PF89 can launch different types of warheads, including thermobaric and anti-structure munitions. Its disadvantage is that the operation is more cumbersome compared with M72 or RPG-22, and back blast flame is greater, which is not conducive to fighting at night and indoors.
Overview[]
When the comparison is not with APILAS (RIMa '85) or M-90 Stršljen (Proleteri '90), but with M72A4, the PF-89 will appear to be a powerful weapon. Its Accuracy is 20% higher, while the cost is that AP Power is a relatively high 21, and still better than AT-4's 19. The AP Power of 21 is capable to destroy unit with 7 Armor in 1 hit, or with 13 Armor in 2 hits.
The unit's availability is 0/0/14/10/0.
