History[]

The M175 Mount on the M113A1 allows firing the Dragon while on the M113 while in a stationary location. Before the introduction of M3 to Armored Cavalry Regiments, the Cavalry Troops have three platoons each with a 4 MBTs lead by the Platoon Sergeant, the Platoon Leader's M113 with M2 and Dragon along with two sections of one each M901 ITV and M113 with M2 and Dragon.

The Mechanized infantry squad and the Battalion Reconnaissance Platoon has the capability to mount their Dragon ATGM on their M113. These Dragon ATGMs were either in a Platoon pool of three to four Dragons or issued to each squad.

Overview[]

In AirLand Battle the M113A1 Dragon is one of the choices of transports for American Infantry, while currently in Red Dragon the M113A1 Dragon is only available for the Cavalry Scouts.
