M551 ACAV is an American Recon Tank that appears in Wargame: AirLand Battle.
History[]
The 60s and 70s Armored Cavalry regiment were equipped with three M551 in the tank section. These were used in Vietnam with various cavalry formations. A common field modification is the ACAV kit with the armored plate to protect the commander's 50 cal. These were replaced by M60. These were used in the Armored Cavalry Regiment replacing the tank section tanks and the Scout section M114.
