The M901 ITV is a Tank Destroyer that appears in the Wargame series for the United States, it was first introduced in Wargame: European Escalation, and was referred as M901 ITW at that time.
History[]
The M901 ITV ("Improved TOW Vehicle") was a M113 equipped with a dual M220 TOW launcher. Unlike M150 which was a TOW launcher mounted on a M113, M901 ITV had a hammerhead mount.
These were used in the H series of M113 equipped Mechanized Infantry battalion with two in each mechanized infantry companies along with a three platoons in a Combat Support Company with 12 M901 ITV. The J series of M113 Mechanized Infantry Battalion's M901 were sent to the E company serving as a Anti-Tank Company. With the introduction of M2 Bradley IFV, M113 infantry companies retain their M901.
The scout platoons of the Armored and M113 equipped Mechanized Infantry equipped with three M901 ITVs along with three more M113 before the switch to M3 Bradley. The pre M3 Bradley Cavalry Platoons has two M901 ITV.
