The ATGM MILAN is an anti-tank team that was introduced in Wargame: AirLand Battle for the United Kingdom. In Wargame: Red Dragon, the ATGM MILAN was renamed MILAN 1.

History[]

MILAN started to enter service in 1978. Milan serves as the British Army man portable anti-tank missile. These served in the Anti-tank platoon of the infantry battalions. The Mechanized and Armored infantry battalions has four MILAN Sections each with detachments of two MILAN riding in either FV432 or Warriors with a additional MILAN in the detachment HQ.

Mechanized wheeled battalion had either MILAN detachment riding in Saxon or 1 ton Land rovers

Airmobile Infantry Battalion has 42 MILAN FP in their Anti-tank platoon.

The TA Infantry Battalion NATO MILAN were equipped with a anti-tank platoon of 6 MILAN FP.

The MILAN has seen action with UK forces in the Falklands conflict, Desert Storm, Afghanistan and the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

The MILAN is planned to be replaced by the FGM-148 Javelin.
