The Mechinf '90 is a Rifle Team available to South Africa in Wargame Red Dragon.
History[]
The first mechanized formation of the South Africa Army was the 61 Mechanized Battalion Group. 62 and 63 Mechanized Battalion Group which was created from 4 South African Infantry Battalion and 8 South African Infantry Battalion. These battalion groups had two companies mounted in Ratels.
This unit are equipped with Vektor R5, the folding stock variant of the R4 which was the South African copy of the Galil. FT5 was the locally made replacement for the LRAC F1 and RPG-7 which served as the South African infantry section anti-tank weapon. SS-77 was the locally made replacement for the embargoed FN MAG.
