The OT-64A is a Czechoslovakian Armored Personnel Carrier that appears in Wargame: AirLand Battle.

History[]

The OT-64 SKOT was built to replace their aging OT-810 transports that they had inherited and rebuilt after WW2. The first prototype would be completed in 1959. In 1961, the first sample series of were built and production began in 1963 starting in Lublin, Poland. Production ended in 1971 when the BMP-1 was introduced, Czechoslovakia and Poland exported them to many countries, and are slowly being phased out by newer vehicles.

It saw use in various conflicts around the world, mostly ranging in African-based conflicts. It was used by India in the 1971 Indian-Pakistani War and in Operation Blue Star. Used by Iraq in the Iran-Iraq War, with all models presumably scrapped. It was used by Algeria and Morocco in the Western Sahara War, by Uganda in the Uganda-Tanzania War, and by Syria in the Syrian Civil War.

The OT-64 is currently operated by Algeria, Angola, Czechia, Egypt, Hungary, India, Libya, Morocco, Pakistan, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Uganda and Uruguay.
