The Parabat '90 is a Rifle Team available to South Africa in Wargame Red Dragon.
History[]
During the Border War, South Africa has 44 Parachute Brigade with the three Parachute Battalions one regular 1 Parachute and two Citizen Force 2 and 3 Parachute Battalion with a third additional Citizen Force battalion 4 Parachute along with 14 Parachute Battalion Group created from Permanent Force and National Service elements of the brigade. Most 44 Parachute Brigade operations was company level drops with a few ad hoc battalion level drops.
This unit has equipped with Vektor R5 the folding stock variant of the R4 which was the South African Copy of the Grail which came in the late 1980s. FT5 entered service in 1989 was the replacement for the LRAC F1 which served as the South African infantry anti-tank weapon. SS-77 was the locally made replacement for the FN MAG. With the Mini-SS being the 5.56mm variant of the SS-77 being introduced in 1994.
