Ratel 20 MILAN is a South African Infantry Fighting Vehicle that first appears in the South African DLC of Wargame: Red Dragon.

History[]

Unlike other contemporary IFVs that were designed to support armored formations, Ratel were designed to fight battles in Southern Africa which favored wheels instead of tracks to reduce the logistical cost of replacing tracks and poor transportation networks. Ratel was designed and produced during the Apartheid era which prevented foreign imports of military equipment. These vehicles were first designed in 1968 and with first production in 1978.

These were used in Mechanized Infantry Battalions. Ratel 20 is the infantry section carrier. This one has a MILAN ATGM mounted on the turret.
