Rover WOMBAT is an United Kingdom Recoilless Rifle Jeep that appears in Wargame: AirLand Battle.
History[]
L6 WOMBAT was version of L2 BAT (Battalion, Anti-Tank) was a 120 mm caliber recoilless anti-tank rifle lightened through the use of magnesium alloys. These were used in the anti-tank platoon of the infantry battalion replacing Ordnance, RCL, 3.45 and the Ordnance QF 17-pounder as the standard anti-tank weapons. These were replaced by ATGM like MILAN and Viglant.
Gurkha Battalion has 6 WOMBAT in their Anti-tank platoon.
Berlin Brigade's three infantry battalions kept their 6 WOMBAT in their anti-tank platoon since the urban combat would be problematic for MILAN.
