SPz 11-2 Kurz is a West German Armored Recon that first appears

SPz 11-2 Kurz is a West German Armored Recon that appears in Wargame: European Escalation.

History[]

SPz 11-2 Kurz entered West German service in 1959 and 1967. These were designed from Hotchkiss SP1A. These were used in cannon platoons of Motorized and M113 equipped Panzergrenadier Battalions until 1974 being replaced by Marders and service as a reconnaissance vehicle in the Brigade reconnaissance platoon until 1982 being replaced by Luchs

Overview[]

The SPz 11-2 Kurz is a West German recon vehicle, the main armament being an autocannon mounted on a turret, modest armour, as well as crusing speed.

It's main drawback, compared to the SpPz Luchs, is it's speed: it is slower than most MBT's it is meant to support, including the Leopard 1, thus making it hard to keep up with these units. It will also be hard to scout ahead of the main force, as it's speed will make it hard to retreat if necessary.

Another drawback is the complete lack of accuracy for it's autocannon, thus making it very hard to deal with enemy infantry and helicopters.
