STROP 1 is a prototype Czechoslovakian self-propelled anti aircraft artillery that was first introduced in Wargame: European Escalation.
History[]
In a attempt to replace M53/59 Praga, Czechoslovakia started STROP 1 project in 1981. This was a modified BMP-1 hull equipped with same turret as M53/59 Praga with the plan that the turret will be replaced. After the test, it was found that the BMP-1 hull did not have enough carrying capability with either the hull extended or use a wheel platform.
