The Su-25T is an improved, prototype variant of the Su-25 ground attack aircraft. Its improvements include better ECM, and the introduction of 2 new weapons systems, the more accurate and faster firing 9K121 SACLOS Anti-Armor missile, in which the Su-25T carries 16 of and 2 R-73A Vympel Anti-Air missiles, with increased range and effectiveness, usually found on medium tier Anti-Air Missile support units.

Like many other improved aircraft variants, it is much more expensive, at 180 command points. Also, one must enable their deck to be that of the National USSR to be able to access it, being a prototype.

In all other aspects, it remains the solid ground attack jet that the Su-25 is.

Overview[]

Airland Battle[]

The Su-25T in Airland Battle appears as the top tier anti-tank jet for the Soviet Union. With 16 AGMs and sporting similar armour to the A-10A, the Su-25T is an extremely resilient tank hunter that can loiter above enemy tanks as it rain down missiles at enemy tanks.

There are two ways to use the Su-25T. If one is unsure with the enemy's anti-air capabilities, send the SU-25T just behind your tanks. It will then loiter and start firing at the enemy tanks with their missiles while staying out of AA range. Albeit less efficient than a strafing run, this tactic will ensure better survival chances. However, if one is sure that there is no immediate AA threats, one can just order the Su-25T to strafe the target. It will ensure a quick death to literally every AFVs but the heaviest one.

Remember though, your enemy will be sane enough to send an air superiority fighter after you so a fighter escort is obligatory to keep your tank hunter alive.

Red Dragon

The Su-25T in Red Dragon is very similar to the one in Airland Battle, except that it is no longer a prototype and the rear armour buffed from 1 to 2 points, as well as a better ECM, allowing for a little more survivability, albeit with one unfortunate consequence: Its price has been nerfed to 200 command points. Despite of this, it remains as a solid tank hunter jet like it was in Airland Battle. Use it like before and it can rain down a good deal of pain on enemy tanks.

Valid for both games, remember that unlike A-10A, the Su-25 has a poorer AP value on its cannons, which means that the Su-25/T won't kill a tank as easily as an A-10A can do (Albeit at close range and with such rate of fire, it will still kill most of them quickly enough). Also, the AAMs are limited as a self-defence capabilities, it will be shot down quickly by dedicated air superiority fighters with long-range AAMs.
