The T-55AMV-1 is a Soviet Main Battle Tank that only appeared in Wargame: European Escalation. It is an improved variant of the T-55AMV, and was replaced by it in Wargame: AirLand Battle.
History[]
The "-1" suffix applied on T-55AM and T-55AMV tanks represents they are later modified pieces powered by the 691 hp (515 kW) V-46-5M engine, a derivation of the T-72's 780 hp (582 kW) V-46-6 engine. In other aspects, these models have the same performance as their predecessors.
"V" stands for vzryvnoi – "explosive", representing the model used "Kontakt-1" explosive reactive armour to replace the BDD "brow" appliqué armour. However, the model appearence in-game didn't have side skirts (maybe for balance), and instead have additional ERA on the top of turret (didn't improve Top Armor though).

The T-55AMV-1 is the last option of T-55 tank series, which means it will take 5 
at most to unlock it. It has improved Front Armor, Optics and additional Bastion ATGM compared with T-55AM-1. The vehicle's combat role is simliar with T-62M.
