The OT-62 TOPAS-2A is an armored personnel carrier that is used by Poland and was first introduced in Wargame: European Escalation, in AirLand Battle it was renamed TOPAS.
History[]
Like the OT-62 TOPAS, OT-62 TOPAS-2A is a basic tracked APC. Unlike the OT-62 which were only equipped with a Machine gun OT-62 TOPAS-2A has 82 mm T-21 "Tarasnice" recoilless gun. This weapon is reloaded externally exposing the loader to enemy fire.
These were used in the tracked Mechanized Regiments before being replaced by BWP-1 first in the Armored DIvisions then Mechanized Infantry Divisions along with the Maines of the 7th Lusatian Landing Division/7th Łużycka Coastal Defence Brigade
