The US Marines '90 is a variant of the standard US Marines updated with new weapons for the '90s and introduced in Wargame: Red Dragon.
History[]
The United States Marine Corps (U.S.M.C.) were first formed in 1775 as the Continental Marines, a branch of the Department of the Navy. The Marine Corps has since then grown and evolved into a major fighting force, gaining prominence for its theories and practices of amphibious warfare in the 20th century. The Marine Corps have been involved in most of America's wars throughout history. This squad represent the acceptance of the M249 to the marine fireteam starting in 1985. The USMC Infantry Regiment were primary a light infantry force but can be mounted using Divisional Assault Amphibian Battalion, trucks and be airmobile using Marine Air Wing helicopters.
M249 the American designation of the Minimi entered Marine service starting in 1985 replacing the Automatic riflemen's M16. AT4 entered USMC service in 1980s.
The USMC is organized into three active 1st to 3rd Marine Divisions along with a reserve fourth Marine Division. 1st and 3rd Marine Division were stationed in the Pacific and the 2nd Marine serving in the Atlantic. 2nd Marine's 4th Marine Brigade was planned to serve in Norway.
Overview[]
The cost-effectiveness of this unit is kind of low, mainly because Riflemen '90 as a 15 point Line Infantry already has AT-4. Although the melee ability is good, it is still too expensive for 30 points.
If deployed at flank critical points, Marines can indeed bring a lot of trouble to the enemy. On the other hand, the transports available to Marines could only anti-infantry, and also expensive. Making this somewhat hard to achieve.
