The Z-9A TY-90 is a prototype anti-aircraft helicopter for China that first appeared in Wargame: Red Dragon. It is armed with eight TY-90 air-to-air missiles.
History[]
China had received a license to locally build the helicopter which was the French Panther AS656. It first took flight in 1981 with models being built by 1994, and is a designated as a utility helicopter, being put into many roles, including anti-air roles.
Overview[]
Purely designed to counter helicopters, the Z-9A TY-90 is arguably the best anti-aircraft helicopter in the game. Equipped with 8 missiles that rival the French Mistral, it has great characteristics in speed, range and quantity of missiles. However, it is not particularly sturdy, and is quite expensive.
The Z-9A TY-90 is best used in either a hunter role or as an escort for transport vehicles.
