History[]
ZSU-23-4M Biryusa was upgraded with a IFF system in 1977 to become ZSU-23-4MZ Biryusa. With a prior upgrade ZSU-23-4V1 Shilka was upgraded to ZSU-23-4M Biryusa with a improved 2A7M autocannon with longer barrel life and pyrotechnic loading.
